SIMON & BEARNS - OMNIROAST
With our Omniroast, you're guaranteed coffee specialties that can be used for a wide variety of brewing methods. Omniroast, for us, means a medium roast of coffee beans. This allows you to choose whether you enjoy your Omniroast using a stovetop espresso maker, French press, pour-over, portafilter machine, fully automatic coffee machine, or AeroPress. Our medium roast is suitable for both a light and modern espresso with fruity notes, as well as a freshly brewed specialty filter coffee.
Different roasting levels - the Omniroast
The traditional approach to coffee roasting divides the roast level into three stages: light roast, medium roast, and dark roast. This classification depends on the roasting temperature. In light roasts, the acidity in the coffee or espresso is very pronounced. In a medium roast, the flavor is very balanced, and the acidity is clearly noticeable. Dark roasts have a strong body, but due to the decreasing acidity, the range of flavors also decreases. Our Omniroast is a medium roast, designed to offer you as many preparation options as possible. It also allows you to taste the most aromas without having too much acidity in your cup.
The roasting profile
A roasting profile is the recipe for how green coffee is roasted using a specific roasting process. Our master roaster, Fred, determines the key parameters to achieve consistent results across different roasting cycles. He defines, for example, the batch size for the roasting drum, the drum temperature before adding the green coffee, the temperature profile during roasting, and much more. Thanks to our master roaster's extensive expertise and numerous test roasts, we can guarantee that our Omniroast blends always taste consistently excellent by establishing these roasting profiles!

Preparation of our Omniroast
Before we can tell you the perfect amount of our Omniroast for your favorite brewing method, our baristas need a great deal of expertise. After our master roaster Fred has determined the optimal roast for our Omniroast, it's up to our baristas to find the perfect flavor during brewing. This requires a great deal of specialist knowledge, as lighter and medium roasts tend to develop too much acidity when brewed as espresso. Only after extensive testing and refinement do we give you the perfect quantity recommendation and grind settings for our Omniroasts.
