Hey, I'm Frederico, or Fred for short. I'm originally from Portugal, but I've been living in Germany for six years now. Why did I come to Germany? For love! My wife and I met while we were studying. Since she's from Lithuania and we didn't want a long-distance relationship, we settled on Germany as a place to live "in the middle." And we haven't regretted it! I feel like I've been working in the hospitality industry forever. But I only really discovered my passion for coffee in Germany. I've always been particularly fascinated by the creativity I can express, for example, in latte art. And of course, the contact with customers: coffee is more than just socializing; for me, coffee is "home."
WHY AM I PART OF SIMON&BEARNS?
As a barista, I've worked in several different establishments. I met Victor through my job, and we hit it off immediately. So, when Simon and Victor asked me if I wanted to join their team, I didn't hesitate. I've followed the development of SIMON&BEARNS from the very beginning and find it fascinating and remarkable how much passion and dedication they've put into making SIMON&BEARNS what it is today.

Fred and I have been friends for over five years now. He's a perfect addition to our team and loves his work as a barista. This is something we all notice, and of course, our customers do too. Fred's skills give the coffees that final touch before our customers can enjoy them in our café. It's also incredibly valuable for us to have another expert on the team who helps us develop our roasts and contributes his extensive experience to our work at the roastery.
