Eric and the Community Coffee Rwanda (CCR) work directly with smallholder farmers. To ensure sustainability, CCR focuses on the development of the communities and, above all, their children. Specialty coffee has existed in Rwanda since 2004, but only a minority of farmers have the opportunity to market their coffee. CCR helps improve the quality of the coffee, both in this respect and beyond. CCR collaborates with over 750 farmers who bring their coffee cherries to the Gift Coffee Washing Station in the Huye District in southern Rwanda. There, the coffee is processed and prepared for export.
