Coffee has always been a part of Carola and Christian's lives, as their parents owned a coffee plantation and made their living, among other things, from coffee cultivation. Due to the declining price of raw coffee, their parents had to give up the plantation. Years later, the idea was born to buy raw coffee directly from farmers in Honduras and export it to Germany. This eliminates all intermediaries and allows purchase prices to be agreed upon independently of market fluctuations.

Christian lives in Honduras and is the main contact person for the local farmers. He visits the plantations several times a year and is responsible for purchasing as well as ongoing quality control at various stages. Besides quality, cultivation methods, working conditions, and sustainability on the plantations are also very important to Christian.

Carola lives in southern Germany and is the contact person for the roasters. At least once a year, and primarily during harvest season, she travels to Honduras to visit the coffee plantations and producers. She was born and raised in Honduras.
