Butezi - On the origin of coffee

During the 2019 harvest, Community Coffee Rwanda (CCR) purchased coffee cherries from six different communities in the Ngororero district. In total, CCR worked with 547 farmers in Ngororero. Due to its higher altitude, the coffee from Butezi is harvested slightly later. The coffee cherries were sorted into grades A and B and then transported to the processing station.

The quantity and quality of the cherries, as well as the weather conditions, determine the processing method. Our Natural from Butezi was left to dry for almost 30 days, which is a real challenge due to the high rainfall in Ngorongoro. The coffee was then sorted by hand three more times. Thank you, Eric , and thank you, CCR, for this great coffee.
